Item:
1912 Bank Cheque - National Bank of Tasmania - Stanley
Description:
This is a genuine cheque from a bank which no longer exists. At almost 100 years old it is a lovely piece of Australian history and is in good condition for its age. The cheque is made out to one J. Walsh for the sum of 8 Pounds and 2 Shillings Sterling. It does have some light scuff marks on the right side and signs of a light fold. Highly collectible piece of Australiana and a rare cheque due to the very limited number of bank accounts that would have existed in Stanley in 1912.
